The Northeast Generals proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League are proud to announce that standout Forward Reese Tamburo has committed to play NCAA hockey for Framingham State in the fall.
Reese joined a Generals team that was riddled with injuries at the time and had the mindset of whatever I can do to help! He filled in incredibly on the backend at Defense for several games. He then moved to his natural position of Forward and was spectacular. In 21 games this season Reese had 8 goals and 7 assists for 15 points. In the Fraser Cup Playoffs he has taken his game to the next level. Reese has put in 3 goals and added 6 assists in 4 games as the Generals swept both the Mountain Kings and Sea Captains in the first 2 rounds on their way to St. Louis to compete for the Fraser Cup.
“Reese is a kid that both Bryan (Erikson the GM) and I have coveted for the past 3 years. When we had a chance to add him we jumped at the chance. And he has not disappointed. He is an amazing young man that fit in from day 1. He played any position asked when we needed and excelled playing D before we got healthy and moved him back to his natural forward position. He is such a tremendous leader and his maturity has helped the team a great deal. All Reese does is come to the rink everyday and work. We are so proud of Reese and his commitment to Framingham State where we know he will make a huge impact from Day 1!” Said Generals Head Coach Darryl Locke.
