The Northeast Generals, members of the North American 3 Hockey League, are excited to announce that Captain Mason Frary has committed to play NCAA hockey at SUNY-Potsdam.

The 3 year General from North Lawrence, NY will be able to stay close to home for the next step in his on and off ice development.  “I am so proud of Mason.  Such an amazing young man and leader.  He did a great job for us and got better every year.  He is the epitome of what it means to be a Northeast General, he left it all on the ice every single time he stepped on the ice.  This commitment is the culmination of countless hours of hard work by Mason.  I am so excited for Mason and his family.  Potsdam is getting another great General!” Said Head Coach Darryl Locke.

In his 3 years with the Northeast Generals Mason played 124 games (5th all time) and had 24 goals, 57 assists and 81 points.  He added 185 PIM and a +69 to his list of accomplishments!

Mason also played 2 games for the NAHL Generals and did an excellent job throughout his junior career of taking advantage of our ladder of development.  “Mason is the best.  So excited for him and his commitment.  Just an amazing young man that gets to stay close to home and get a great education and play the game he loves.  Mason is everything we want when kids come here.  We want them to buy in and leave it all on the ice.  Mason did that.  He played all 5 positions as he was the first one to raise his hand to fill in anytime we had an injury.  He sacrificed personal accomplishments for the good of the organization at every step.  We can’t want to watch Mason continue on his journey!” Said NA3 GM and NAHL Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
