The Northeast Generals, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are excited to announce that 2 year Goaltender Toby Hopp has committed to play his NCAA Division 1 Hockey for Air Force!

Hopp, 19, is in his 2rd year with the NAHL Generals.  The netminder has been amazing in net.

During the 21-22 season Hopp made 28 starts with a record of 15-9-2.  Toby put up great numbers with a 2.75 Goals against average and a .914 save percentage!.

This season Toby has made 28 starts and has been stellar in net.  His most recent game was a shoot out victory of Johnstown that saw Toby turn away 45 pucks on 48 shots.  And he shut the door in the shootout saving all 3 to seal a great comeback win for the Generals!

“Toby Hopp is great.  Just an amazing young man and goaltender.  His work ethic is crazy off the charts day in and day out.  He has competed with some great goaltenders while here and he has made them better and they have pushed him.  Last year had had Cullen DeYoung (Sacred Heart) and they had such a great relationship that it helped push the team together.  This year he has Petter Wickstrom (Canisius) and they also have such a great relationship.  They root for each other in games and push each other in practice.  Toby is only scratching the surface of his tremendous potential.  Air Force is getting a special person and player.  We can’t wait to watch Toby guide us towards the playoffs and then watch him as a Falcon next year!”  Said Generals GM/Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
