The Northeast Generals, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are excited to announce that Captain Jack DeMoura has committed to play his College Hockey at Albertus Magnus!

Jack has been a staple of the Northeast Generals organization since joining the 16U Generals in the 2020 season.  He has steadily climbed the ladder from 16U to 18U (NAPHL) to NA3HL and finally for the last 3 years to the NAHL where he is now the Captain.  His gritty and hard nosed style has endeared him to his coaches, teammates and fans.

The 2004 Defenseman from Taunton, MA has been an intimidating force since joining the league.  He set the NAHL record for Penalty Minutes in a season (360) during the 2023-24 season with his hard hitting style.  This year he has played more in the lines but hasn’t lost his ability to effect the outcome of the game with his physicality.

“Jack is the greatest.  He is what you look for when you choose a Captain, a player and person that puts others first and the team before himself.  He is such an amazing young man both on and off the ice and it has truly been my honor to coach him the past 5 years.  His work ethic and compete level will be impossible to replace.  He practices just like he plays, throwing his body in front of pucks, finishing hits and making life very difficult for guys trying to get to the net.”  Said Head Coach Bryan Erikson.

Erikson continued “Jack is so incredibly tough.  Just a true warrior.  He broke his leg at the beginning 2022 season and it was a devastating injury.  Numerous surgeries, a rod put in his leg, pins, you name it.  It was a very scary situation and he had a long stay in the hospital.  But the day he got out he started working his way back and was back on the ice within 60 days.  Just amazing stuff.  And he came back the next year better than he was before.  You can’t teach the toughness he has.  There is no quit in him.  He is going to be an amazingly successful person both on the ice and in life.  Albertus is getting a great person and player and we couldn’t be more proud to watch his career continue.”
