The Northeast Generals, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are excited to announce that 2004 Forward Kai Dunits has committed to U Sports Dalhousie Tigers.
Dunits is in his first year with the Northeast Generals after an early season trade. His 200 foot game made him a coaches favorite right away. In 36 games with the Generals Kai has put up 5 goals and 14 assists for 19 points. The 2004 will return to his native Canada to play for U Sports powerhouse Dalhousie Tigers.
“Kai has been great since he came here. We have asked a lot of him. He has played all 3 forward positions, played PP, PK and any every situation. And he has done it all with great effort and detail. He is a true 200 foot player. He is great in the D zone, hard on the forecheck and has a great release on his shot. We are very proud of Kai and his commitment. He will have a very successful College career just because of his work ethic. But he also has a ton of skill that can sometime be lost in how good he is on the details. He is great in all 3 zones, wins faceoffs, blocks shots and does all of the little things our staff asks. He is a player that can fly under the radar but his attention to the game never goes unnoticed by our staff. We wish Kai continued success the rest of this season and over the next 4 years.” Said Northeast Generals GM/Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
