The Northeast Generals have two players named as NAHL yearly awards nominees.

Logan Poulin has been named one of three finalists for Rookie of the Year, with Will Mizenko a Goaltender of the Year finalist.

Making the jump to the NAHL directly from Nauset High (USHS-MA), Poulin, a 2006-born forward, immediately showcased himself to the league as an elite goal scorer, leading the Generals in goals this season with 27 in just 44 games throughout his rookie year. Poulin finished with 8 multi-goal games, including his first career hat-trick on March 28 against Elmira. Poulin’s 5 playoff goals also led the team, and his 56 points through 52 combined regular-season and playoff games ranked second.

Poulin has been nominated alongside Rylan Bydal of the Anchorage Wolverines and Bismarck’s Royce Pietila.

The Generals’ second award nominee is their workhorse goaltender.

Will Mizenko was acquired by the Generals less than two weeks into the 2025-26 regular season to be their starter, and it was a trade that exceeded all expectations.

Mizenko backstopped the Generals to Game 5 of the Eastern Division Semi-Finals, the farthest the organization has ever gone in franchise history. The Niskayuna, NY native finished the year with a 22-15-3-1 record to go along with a 2.64 GAA and .916 SV%. At the time of the General’s elimination, his 2979 minutes between the pipes were more than any goaltender in the NAHL.

The graduating goaltender culminated his NAHL career with a 34-19-1 record through 62 games.

Mizenko is nominated alongside Jack Solomon of the Austin Bruins and Michael Modelski of El Paso.

The NAHL will announce the award winners on Thursday, May 7, on NATV.
